Happy St. Patrick's Day

To everybody, enjoy the green countryside, have a glass or pint on the Irish, this breed of people that never take anything to serious and know despite all hardship they seem to come across again and again how to embrace and celebrate life and love their fellow people.

On slagging, dancing, singing, fiddling.....Slainte!

queue

The last time this thursday morning and the first time for the skypainter. All this people, most of them highly skilled. I met the cute QS again, the one from years ago - that highprofile job.
And I am laughing when the government suggest that people are not sufficient skilled. That guy was brilliant. They are, okay maybe not IT, but seriously this people with their brilliant skills adapt in no time in any situation there are given a chance. But there are not chances in this country, there are just not enough good jobs. The good people, the young people are leaving and the good people the older people who have their home here, their family, their elderly parents they look after, they have to stay. There are internships in architects offices available - 9 month 40h a week for socialwelfare +an extra €50 a week. That might be suitable for graduates with no practical experience, but no - they want somebody with min. 3 years practical experience. I call that slavery and abuse.

I am glad to turn my back to the queue even if that new job is not quite yet what I was looking for. As I want to stay in this country a little longer, that is what I have to do.

reminder

Strolling through my virtual village I encountered a gentle and sad reminder that the time we are given together might not be forever - both the skypainter and me were reminded that every day we have together is precious and special and a present.
And again I thought that when nature decides to form the human heart in a different way that means challenges and fight, but it also means special gifts and talents and a deeper insight and understanding into life and its true nature.
We never met this man, but from what I could gather he was most beloved and enriched the lifes of friends and family around him.

We spend a few hours yesterday reading and talking about a man that we never met, but his life has a strong story that spun a colourful thread and was rich and full.

Talking about it allowed us to communicate our fears and hopes. We were able to talk about the possibility of loss, a threat that sometimes seems to overshadow and spoil the time that is given to us. We were able to deal with it and accept it.

FRUEHLING

Bald wird hier also wieder Alltag einkehren. Bis dahin: sort of Urlaub!!!!!

I'll miss ya!
